THE ORCHESTRA
MISION
The mission of the OH responds to the current socio-cultural reality and political context of Venezuela, given that a large number of high-level musicians who received their musical education within El Sistema decided to emigrate from their home country in order to continue their career in other latitudes, especially in countries of the European Union such as Spain, France and Germany. As immigrants and refugees, the OH offers them a new home and musical identity. Additionally, the structure of the orchestra provides the participation of young European musicians, particularly Spanish, of exceptional talent to promote cultural and human exchange between different musical worlds.
Characteristics of the orchestra

The OH is a group made up of 15 to 60 instrumentalists dedicated to the interpretation of a wide symphonic repertoire that ranges from Baroque to contemporary, with an emphasis on classical style around 1800. Historically informed performance (HIP) is an integral part of our musical approach for any style.
